Receiving Sweets

This Chinese New Year, ZX has quite a few new experience, eating cookies, seeing lion dance, joining the fun of "Yusheng".

On day 2 of CNY, we had our dinner in one of the popular restaurant at BP. During the dinner, there were TV screens which were playing new year songs. He enjoyed watching them, while suddenly, the M.C announced that "God of Fortune" would come and spread his luck to everyone. We were quite used to this as it was the usual entertainment that this restaurant has.

Perhaps ZX never expects anyone who is wearing a "strange" custome appearring in the middle of his meal. I could see tears coming down from his eyes. Poor thing, I should have told him earlier about this "God of Fortune", but I was not expecting this scenario either.
-- Side note: I actually find it useful when any new thing or new person you want your toddler to meet, tell them before hand, so that it will not be a surprise for them when they see it. By doing this, you are creating an expection on your kid to the new thing / person.

I stopped my dinner to console him and tell him that this was just normal, "God of Fortune" was just going around and giving sweets to all people. After a while, he has stopped crying and be more calm.

Now that when the "God of Fortune" came to his side, he at least is willing to reach out for the sweets. :)
